Dear Professor Hazeltine,

As I reflect back on my four years at Brown as a student, I can say that my experiences in your courses were, without question, my fondest academic memories. The case-study method and fascinating guest speakers you attracted were captivating for your students, your friends. Moreover, your personal connection to each and every individual helped foster independent and creative thought, and empowered people with the confidence to articulate objective points of view in group settings.

You helped develop future leaders. Your refreshing teaching style made students want to attend your classes. Your mentorship helped prepare your students for real life experiences. I am thankful for having had the opportunity to learn from you, and it was an honor to serve as one of your many teaching assistants.
